Tour Des Voyageurs

Tour des Voyageurs - 1 is located at 151 Curé-Deslauriers Street in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, at the entrance of the Station Mont-Tremblant ski resort. On August 17, 2017, the Syndicate of co-owners of the Tour des Voyageurs Phase 1 (TdV-1) commissioned TAD to proceed with the repair of the façade following water infiltration problems identified in recent years.

Inaugurated in 2000, the TdV-1 is a mixed-use building with hotels, housing, shops and offices. The building itself is equipped with sprinklers and is of combustible construction. The walls are covered with a colored acrylic finish and the balconies are made primarily out of wood.

The purpose of this mandate was to verify the general condition of exterior wall components, including balconies, terraces and windows, to identify apparent defects and to determine likely causes of water infiltration resulting in deterioration. The report that followed identified the problematic areas, the proposed solutions, established the probable costs (class D) and indicated the recommended construction phases to undertake the repair work. TAD's sister company, Pan American Construction Inc., undertook a pilot project in one part of the building, allowing TAD to produce construction documents for the repair work.
