Thibodeau Architecture + Design (TAD) has an exciting opportunity for a full-time senior-level Architectural Technologist with working experience in a North American architectural office. This position is regularly based in our Vancouver office with an option to work from home for a portion of the work week.

We are looking for a highly collaborative person with strong experience in leading a team through the construction documentation and construction administration phases of a project.
What You’ll Do:
- Production and review of construction documents, including drawings, specifications etc.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop and produce architectural drawings and construction documents.
- Review and coordinate consultants’ documents.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for project development.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- You will be tracking the time spent on projects to meet objectives.
- Ensure project deliverables are submitted on time.
Who You Are:
- You have a demonstrated ability to lead and effectively distribute work to an architectural team.
- You have 8 to15 years of relevant experience in an architectural office and you’ve lead teams in another architectural office within North America.
- You have good knowledge of building envelope principles.
- You have knowledge of DP and BP submissions.
- You have a strong ability to detail various building components.
- Quality is important to you, and it shows through your quality control and quality assurance protocols.
- You feel very comfortable conversing with clients both with written and spoken English. (French is an asset).
- Must be willing to work full-time in office during probationary period and minimum two days a week upon completion of probation.
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the AIBC.
- You consider yourself an advanced user of Revit and AutoCAD to the degree that you can train others.
- You enjoy mentoring junior team members.
- You are fully proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Teams and Outlook.
- You have current working knowledge of the VBBL, BCBC and Fire Codes.
- People that have worked with you before know you for your excellent communication and customer centric skills.
- You have a demonstrated ability to manage projects and exceptional organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
- You ideally have experience working on commercial, tenant improvement and healthcare projects.
