mediagrif

Montreal– 2010

In 2010, TAD conceived the new offices of Mediagrif, a
company in the e-commerce industry, located in the city
of Longueuil. TAD has managed this project from begining
to end... from the realisation of pre-location studies to
construction management.

TAD first realised Mediagrif’s preliminary needs study as
well as locations study, upon which the client was able
to choose the location that best suited him. The new
concept needed to “de-hierchycise” the working space
and to eliminate the departemental segmentation to help
foster a corporate identity.

The new open space layout was thus a big departure for
the firm, even more so when the number of closed offices
went from 36 to 15! The departemental branding was
eliminated and replaced by a corporate one thoughout
the 3 floors. We also promoted a big and well designed
cafeteria/ playroom to smaller eating spaces on each
floor to foster interdepartemental encounters and
relationships.

Mediagrif’s workforce being relatively young, we opted to
give a distinctive and punchy color to each of the floors,
in another attempt to eliminated the hierchy of the floors
and to have them referred to simply as the red, orange
or green floors. The letters that illuminated the former
building’s exterior were retrofitted to LED lighting and can
now be found as artifacts throughout the space.
As a result, the new design has reinforced the corporate
identity in a young and creative way, much like Mediagrif’s
workforce.
