FRENCH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
OF VANCOUVER

École Française Internationale de Vancouver (ÉFIV)
Fromme Road, North Vancouver - 2011

The French International school of Vancouver hired Thibodeau Architecture + Design (TAD) in September 2010 to conduct a feasibility study for the renovation and beautification in their new school in North Vancouver.

The feasibility study was completed and handed-in mid-December 2010 and the EFIV decided in January 2011 to initiate the works recommended by TAD. The school opted for a design-build solution with TAD's contruction company : Pan American Constructions.

The mandate included the renovation of bathrooms for children, of the administrative offices, the painting of all classrooms and the changing of the floorings in some of them, the renovation of the restroom for toddlers and a general aesthetic improvement of the building.

The main challenge that were encountered were the tight schedule and a continuously changing scope of work , it was imperative that work be completed before the start of the Easter holiday beginning in April 2011.

TAD and Pan American Constructions have not only completed the work on time but also managed to reduce the construction cost significantly.
