MARCONI
The Mandate started orginally for Positron Fiber Systems, an offshoot of Positron, which was sold to Marconi during the project. PFS needed new facilities to house research and development laboratories, QA labs, management offices, including administration, marketing and customer support, training facilities and meeting rooms.
The challenges included moving people in a short period of time once the IPO became a reality, developping a program for a firm that was in the initial stages of being set-up and had hard dates to meet for production, and virtually starting from scratch.
J.Robert Thibodeau, as Principal-in-charge of Production with KTH oversaw the Production Team and worked closely with the Design Team to implement the new facilities in record time as well as dealing with Construction Administration.
